Dr. Mikhaila Weister, DC
I was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin but shortly after moved to Appleton, Wisconsin, and currently reside there. Growing up, I was always interested in serving others and studying science, biology, and medicine.
I attended UW-Oshkosh and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I knew I wanted to pursue further education and shadowed a family friend that was a chiropractor in Appleton. After the first day of shadowing, I knew that this was the correct profession and applied to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I graduated in October 2016 and worked at a local chiropractic office until opening 920 Wellness Studio.
I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. I also worked at a local fitness club as a certified personal trainer while attending chiropractic school. In addition, I specialize in supplementation and am a nutritional consultant for nutraMetrix.
To have the most optimal health and balance, the following three pillars need to be maintained:
- Structural (your physical body)
- Emotional (your emotions and stressors)
- Nutritional (fueling your body with proper nutrients to fuel your cells, tissues, organs, muscles, nerves, etc.)
Chiropractic care addresses the structural misalignments that arise due to daily stressors and repetitive motions/trauma. Maintenance chiropractic adjustments are crucial in obtaining proper alignment and structural care. Emotional stressors are also addressed in the initial wellness consultation. It is important this is addressed and implemented into the wellness education and treatment plans. Nutritional consultations are also available to maintain proper nourishment and make healthy lifestyle choices. Genetic testing and supplementation are discussed in these wellness visits to address all three pillars of health. I believe that holistic care should be implemented first and foremost when treating patients.
Holistic care is ever changing, thus learning never ceases.
I enjoy spending time with my daughter and my family. Some of my hobbies include boating, reading, and playing volleyball.
Allison Eastman, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach
Hi, I’m Allison! I’m a wife, a mom of 3 beautiful little kiddos, and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Health and wellness are a top priority in my life as I care for myself and my family. After ups and downs of dieting, weight loss and weight gain, eating well and not eating well through my teens and 20s - I finally got it after having my first child and even more so when cancer and heart disease affected our family.
After three pregnancies and three c-sections, I wanted to eat better, be healthier, and lead by example for my kids. Eating clean, eating quality food, choosing food for its nutritional value instead of counting calories while also nourishing body, mind, and soul…I found my passion in health and wellness. I’ve learned that not only a healthy diet - but also a healthy lifestyle and mindset - will bring you to the balanced, happy, and healthy life you want.
I have previously worked as a cosmetologist and in Human Services working with at-risk youth and Client Services in outpatient mental health counseling. I studied at UW-Fox Valley, Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design, and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Angela Tanner, R.N., Licensed Massage Therapist & Health Coach
Hello! I am Angela (”Angie”) Tanner. I am here to assist and guide you, wherever you may be, on your wellness journey. I combine over 25 years in nursing along with experience and training in Integrative Health Care, Massage Therapy, Thai Bodywork, Emotional Release Sound Therapy, and Health Coaching; as well as my own personal experience with an autoimmune disorder, to assist clients in developing customized wellness plans. I am passionate about educating others on the power of nutrition, thoughts, toxin removal, and movement to create conditions for optimal health and healing.
Originally from Spokane, WA, I moved to Wisconsin in 1993 after spending 3 years in Abilene, Texas. I started my nursing career in Texas as a licensed vocational nurse. I completed training as a Registered Nurse at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, WI.
Prior to nursing school, I attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, and once in Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. I have worked in various nursing settings including geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, family practice, neurology/neurosurgery, and Urgent Care.
I decided to pursue a career in Health Coaching and Bodywork after my own health suffered a serious downward spiral. I had experienced migraine headaches and digestive complaints since childhood. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, an autoimmune disorder, after the birth of my son, Hunter, in 1998. I managed my illness with only occasional medication until 2008 when my health drastically declined. I eventually required blood transfusions, steroids, and infusions of medications that suppressed my immune system. Working as a nurse in an Urgent Care setting while taking immunosuppressant drugs was not a good combination. My doctors and medications saved my life, but I knew there was a better solution. I trusted my intuition and kept searching for an alternative. I found it through research, trial and error, and eventually holistic and integrative medicine. My health gradually improved and I thrived without medication. Since then I have made it my mission to educate and empower others to improve their health and well being despite diagnoses they may have been given.
I completed my initial Health Coach training in 2010 through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I graduated from Blue Sky School of Massage in 2016. I started training in Thai Bodywork in 2017 at the Thai Bodywork School and Coaching the Body Institute founded by Chuck Duff in Evanston, Illinois. I have completed several levels of training there and plan on more. I recently started additional Health Coach training through the Health Coach Institute in January of 2018.
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors in nature with my fiancé Bob, son Hunter, and dog Teddy.
Jacqueline Mayer, Microblading Specialist & Makeup Artist
Hello, I am Jacqueline. I was born and raised in northern Wisconsin and currently reside in Neenah with my fiancé and two children. For the past 11 years I have worked as a freelance makeup artist in the state of Wisconsin. I have done all types of makeup from special occasion to costume and special effects! Helping women and teaching them proper tricks and techniques to enhance their natural features with makeup is a passion of mine.
In 2017, I started doing eyelash extensions as a fun side job and fell in love with this wonderful service that makes women feel beautiful! I realized while doing eyelash extensions that I had a very steady, controlled hand - I was very precise. For years, I have listened to women tell me everything that was wrong with their brows including the time it takes them to ‘fix’ their brows in the morning. I love providing a simple service to women that enhances their natural beauty while cutting down or eliminating the time they would spend getting ready in the morning!
I am a total junkie for learning new things. In fact, if there was a career called ‘professional student,’ that’s what I would be! This is why I love the beauty industry. It’s always changing - better ingredients, new advancements, new trends, and new techniques. Besides the countless research I perform on an almost daily basis, my licenses and certifications include: certified eyelash technician, advanced microblading, licensed tattoo artist, and makeup artist.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and staying busy with my kids and all their athletics! I believe strongly in three things: being happy, humble, and kind.
Anja Farin, Midwifery, Lactation, and Arvigo® Supported Pregnancy
I am a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed in Wisconsin. My journey as a birth worker began with my own four births, all of which were un-medicated; one in a hospital setting and three at home. These babies were raised with breast-sleeping, child-lead weaning, attachment parenting, homeschooling, and public schooling. As they are all teens and young adults now, I can assure you that they do eventually sleep in their own beds!
As a doula and childbirth educator, I began serving families in 1997. After some time devoted to the above-mentioned parenting of four busy, growing children, I came back to the work of studying midwifery. I earned my CPM and Wisconsin license in 2010. I began studying the Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy in 2013, taking a total of four-week long classes, including Self-Care, Professional Care, Advanced Pregnancy, and culminating in Certification in the techniques in 2017 with the final class in Belize. I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2016, though I spent many years in various La Leche League groups gratefully receiving and eventually providing mother-to-mother support for breastfeeding parents.
I have been married to the love of my life since 1991, and my whole family works behind the scenes to make the support of young families possible. In my free time, I love to hike, take photos, knit, sew, and sing.
